About Alex Harris
Born on September 9th in the serene town of Manchester, Georgia, Alex Harris emerged as a dynamic force in the realms of music, acting, and philanthropy. As the middle child among eight siblings, Harris was nurtured in a household led by Rev. James Harris, a local pastor and educator, and Dr. Carolyn Harris, a dedicated educator as well. Despite a seemingly non-musical background, young Alex Harris harbored an insatiable appetite for rhythm and performance.
Recognizing the innate talent within his children, James Harris swiftly integrated them into the church's music ministry, marking the genesis of the family band, initially known as the A-Boys and later rebranded as A7. With six siblings, each with names starting with 'A,' and the seventh member symbolizing the divine presence of God, A7 became a musical sensation. At the age of 7, Alex emerged as the lead singer, catapulting the family into a successful musical journey that saw them touring North America during school breaks.
Despite their musical pursuits, education remained a top priority for the Harris siblings. Alex, in particular, pursued academic excellence, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Psychology from LaGrange College. His academic journey continued with a Master's in Theology and Social Work from Boston University, extended graduate studies in Adolescent Counseling at Harvard University, and a recent completion of a doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Alex Harris seamlessly navigated his entry into the entertainment scene at the tender age of 7, touring the southeast region with his siblings. Over the years, his artistry evolved, captivating a global audience with electrifying and soulful performances. His polished lyrical styling, coupled with dynamic energy, provides a refreshing yet grounded musical experience that transcends time and genres.
Harris' impressive resume includes performances at two Presidential Galas, the Premier of Bermuda Gala, Prime Minister of Ireland Gala, and various prestigious events worldwide. Beyond headlining his own shows, he has shared stages and collaborated with iconic entertainers like Lionel Richie, Al Green, H.E.R. Alicia Keys, Brandy, Steve Cropper (Blues Borthers), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Bobby Rush, Eric Benet, John Legend, Kirk Franklin, Lamman Rucker, Leon Roberts, and many others.
Alex Harris is not merely an entertainer; he is a philanthropist with a heart committed to making a positive impact. His multifaceted journey, blending music, acting, and academic achievements, reflects a rare combination of talent, dedication, and a profound commitment to uplifting others. As his audience continues to grow, Alex Harris remains an influential figure, leaving an indelible mark on the world of entertainment and beyond.
